I have a nice body of work showing on the quaint Beekman Street in Saratoga Springs, New York. Inspiration for these small landscape paintings comes from my frequent trips to Kansas and Nebraska where you find an abundance of rolling hills, old fences, farms and barns, and the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets I've ever scene. Peacefulness is everywhere. As I sit on the porch of a beautiful five-bedroom farmhouse in Pawnee, Nebraska, sometimes all I can hear is the faint sound of an old windmill creaking in the distance. Because of the dreamy quality of these works, you could find these scenes really almost anyplace. These tiny oil paintings are 4x6 up to 9x12 and are painted on canvas. So, if you find yourself in the Saratoga region, skip over to the beautiful Sharon Crute Gallery at 73 Beekman Street where my paintings hang beside Sharon's fabulous equine works large and small. There is also currently a very interesting exhibit of photographs by Sue Clark of Sue Photography, Fine Art Photography sure to make you think and smile!

More Midwest Adventures
I've just returned from another wonderful trip to the Midwest. Exploring the I-70 area between Kansas City, KS and Manhattan, KS confirms my love for this region of our country. Towns are small, traffic is light and people are friendly. The pace is calm and enjoyable...very enjoyable. The Flint Hills region of Kansas has many wonderful old stone houses; one after the other. Paxico Kansas is a wonderful old town and walking into the General Store makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. I half expected to see Clint Eastwood riding in on his horse! But I continue to love Pawnee City, Nebraska; mostly because of the great people which we now call our friends. Check out the church below..............wouldn't it make a fantastic second home/art studio and gallery? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.........Stay tuned.

Reflections in Nebraska
Who would have thought this idea was my husbands'? On a recent hunting trip to Nebraska last fall, he suggested that my daughter, Nicolle, who was taking a photography class, snap a couple views of this fabulous sunrise reflecting off the front door and window of the farm house. Great job, guys!!
