Welcome
Shelly Broughton has been painting for over twenty years and lives in upstate New York. Inspiration for her work comes from local travels in New York and New England as well as her time spent in the Midwest. Her obsession with "all things ocean" comes from annual trips to the US Virgin Islands. She started her career over 20 years ago painting clothing, then progressed to murals and faux finishes in homes and businesses in the Albany, New York region. After ten years, she decided it was time to commit to work in the studio and formed a wholesale/retail art business selling original oil paintings as well as mixed media work on vintage papers.
